We’ve all heard the stories. Meningitis is scary stuff.

We’ve all heard the news stories. Meningitis is a serious illness that causes a swelling of the tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord, making young adults (10-25 yrs. old) very sick.

Meningitis is a very aggressive type of bacterial infection. It is more prone to spread on college campuses, in dormitories, classrooms, or camps.

Who is eligible to participate?

If you have not had a Meningitis vaccine or it has been more than 4 years since you received the vaccine you might qualify to participate. Clinical Research Associates in Nashville is enrolling people ages 10 to 25 in a study to evaluate an investigational vaccine for Meningitis.

What does the study involve?

As part of the study, participants will receive either the investigational vaccine or a placebo (inactive) vaccine. For people that have had the vaccine before the study will be around a yearlong with 4 office and 2 phone calls.  For people that have never had the vaccine the study will be around 5 years long with 9 office visits and 3 phone calls.  Call 615-329-2222 or email Recruiter@CRAnashville.com for more information and to see if you qualify.
