Migraines with depression study

Do you suffer from both migraines and depression?

People who have frequent or chronic migraines are twice as likely to have depression. If you suffer with frequent migraines and have been diagnosed with depression, you may want to consider participating in our clinical research study. The main purpose of this study is to determine if an FDA-approved medication compared to a placebo (no active medication) is effective in preventing migraines in individuals with Major Depressive Disorder.

Who is eligible to participate?

You may qualify for this study if you:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 70
  • Experience frequent migraines
  • Have been diagnosed with Major Depression Disorder

What does the study involve?

This study requires 6 visits to our office over about 28 weeks. You will be asked to complete a headache diary throughout the study. The study medications, laboratory tests and study physical examinations will be provided at no charge. Compensation for study-related travel expenses will be provided.
