Endometriosis research study

Suffer with endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease which often causes moderate to severe pain with menstrual periods, intercourse and defecation, chronic pelvic pain and urination disorders. If you are suffering with endometriosis related pain, we are seeking volunteers to participate in a research study of an investigational oral medication to help reduce pain.

Who is eligible to participate?
You may qualify to participate if you:

  • Are a female between 18 and 49 years of age
  • Have been surgically diagnosed with endometriosis
  • Do not have a history of osteoporosis or other bone disease
  • Are not pregnant, breast feeding or planning to get pregnant in next year

What does the study involve?

There are three parts to the study. A screening period must cover 2 full menstrual cycles and consist of physical exams, GYN exam, and other evaluations to determine your qualifications for study medications. The second part is study treatment (6 monthly visits to our office); study medication will be taken daily. The final part is follow-up (6 to 12 months) with no study medication. There are approximately 16 visits or less depending on the follow-up period. You will be required to complete a diary from the screening period to study completion.

How much does this cost?

You or your insurance company (if any) will not pay for the visits, procedures or medications related to the study.

Is compensation available?

You may receive $100 per study visit and additional payments for diary completion.
