CARDIOVASCULAR STUDY


Have you ever had a heart attack, stroke or leg pain due to vascular disease? If so, we are seeking volunteers to participate in a single visit research study. The purpose of this study is to estimate the prevalence of elevate Lp(a), a lipid that sticks to plaque, in patients with Cardiovascular Disease. 


Who is eligible to participate?


To qualify you must be between the 18 and 80 years of age and have an established history of Cardiovascular Disease (heart and blood vessel problems) by having one of the following:

  • Have had a heart attack within 3 months – 10 years
  • Have had a stroke within 3 months- 10 years
  • Be experiencing leg pain due to poor circulation (claudication/PAD) or lower leg amputation or history of surgical intervention of leg(s) due to vascular problem.

What does the study involve?


The study consists of a single blood draw. There is no medication involved. Participants will receive compensation for travel and expenses. Results of lipid blood test will be provided.
