Are you one of the 58 million Americans with high blood pressure? High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke. If your hypertension is not well controlled on its own or on your current medication, you may qualify to participate in a research study.
This study is being conducted to see how well three approved medications work together to lower blood pressure. While these medications are not yet approved as a combination therapy, they are all approved individually by the FDA to treat hypertension. Combinations of these study medications are already used by physicians to treat patients with hypertension.
To be eligible for this study, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have demonstrable hypertension
(defined in this study by seated blood pressure greater than or equal to 140/100
or greater than or equal to 160/90)
Qualified participants will receive study-related evaluation, medical care and study medication at no charge. Study participants will also receive compensation for time and travel.
