Are you diabetic and suffering from painful sensations in your feet or legs?
Nerve damage caused by diabetes, called diabetic neuropathy, presents symptoms like burning, stinging, numbness and tingling. Neuropathy is a common complication of diabetes and can be very painful.
We are currently seeking volunteers for a Diabetic Neuropathic Pain research study. This study looks at how well the study medication relieves nerve pain of the lower extremities (legs and feet) in diabetic patients.
You may qualify for this study if you:
- Are 18-75 years old
- Have had diabetes-related painful nerve pain in the lower extremities for at least 6 months
- Have experienced foot or leg pain due to diabetic neuropathy on a nearly daily basis for the last three months
- Have been on a stable regimen of diabetes medication for at least three months
- Are willing to discontinue prohibited medications, including pain medications
Qualified participants will receive study-related medical care and study medication at no cost, as well as compensation for time and travel.
