According to World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Society of Hypertension, some 600 million people worldwide have high blood pressure, and nearly 3 million die every year as a direct result. Yet seven out of ten people with high blood pressure are not being treated adequately.

Clinical Research Associates, Inc. is conducting an 8-visit, approximately 10-week, high blood pressure research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication compared to placebo (an inactive substance) for high blood pressure.

To participate in the study you must be 18 to 70 years of age, relatively healthy with mild to moderate high blood pressure. The study requires you to wear an ambulatory blood pressure monitoring system to take frequent blood pressure measurement during a 24-hour period of normal activity.

Participants will receive:
   • Study related physical exams
   • Study medication
   • 24 hour blood pressure monitoring
   • Compensation for time and travel
