Clinical Research Associates has a study that you might qualify for...
The exact causes of high blood pressure are not known. However, we do know that high blood pressure is dangerous because it makes the heart work harder. It contributes to heart failure, hardening of the arteries, stroke and heart attack.
This 18-week, 11-visit research study is being conducted to see how well an experimental medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) is tolerated compared to an already FDA approved medication, metoprolol extended release (Topol-XL®), when used in combination with Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ).
To participate you must be 18 to 80 years of age, relatively healthy and have elevated blood pressure.
Participants will recieve:
• Study related exams
• Study medication
• Compensation for time and travel
