Our highly experienced clinical study coordinators, all of whom are either registered nurses, registered dietitians, or licensed nurses, are dedicated to individual patient care and education and are involved in general, therapeutic area, study specific, and regulatory guidelines training on a continual basis. Each research study is conducted under the direct supervision of at least one physician and one nurse. In addition, individual studies frequently involve multiple physician specialists, dietitians, patient educators, medical diagnosticians, and various other therapeutic area specialists.

Stephan C. Sharp, Medical Director
Dr. Sharp, board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, and hypertension, has been affiliated with Clinical Research Associates since 1996. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee and completed an endocrinology fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Sharp serves as a consultant to multiple pharmaceutical sponsors and professional societies where he is a frequently requested guest lecturer.

Linda Moore Schipani, RN, MSN - President and CEO
Clinical Research Associates was founded under Ms. Schipani's direction in 1990 following her lengthy career in family and research medicine in the Metropolitan Nashville area. She has successfully supervised and conducted numerous research programs across a wide variety of therapeutic indications. Ms. Schipani also serves as a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical sponsors and contract research organizations.
