Research Associates, Inc. is looking for people with frequent heartburn...
Heartburn is a common complaint. Approximately 20% of adults in the United States suffer with heartburn. Treatments for heartburn include antacids, various over-the-counter medications such as Pepcid, Tagamet and prescription medications.
This five week, five office visit study seeks to demonstrate that daily doses of lansoprazole (Prevacid), a FDA approved medication, is effective in increasing the proportion of days with no heartburn during 14 days of treatment compared to placebo.
Eligible
candidates must:
- 18 years of age or older
- experiencing heartburn on at least two days per week that responds to treatments
- otherwise healthy
If you qualify, you will receive study related physical exams, study medication and compensation.
