Clinical Research Associates, Inc. is currently seeking individuals with High Cholesterol and Metabolic Syndrome between the ages of 18-79 to participate in a research study comparing the safety and effects two investigational cholesterol-lowering medications.

Metabolic Syndrome represents a grouping of clinical problems, which include obesity, elevated blood pressure, increased lipids, and glucose intolerance. These issues are risk factors for developing Coronary Heart Disease. Recent studies show that 23-27 percent of the adult population have metabolic syndrome.

This is approximately an 8-week, 4 visit study. Each participant will meet with a registered dietitian for dietary counseling. Study medication, study related physicals and compensation will be provided.
